Marina Maternity Coat in elegant Bouclé - Purple (chosen by Kate Middleton)
This is a coat that can be worn before, during and after pregnancy, made in a luxurious wool tweed bouclé blend with sparkly silver threads running through it. Reminiscent of the classic Chanel look, it has lots of fabulous design details: a delicate frayed trim that accentuates the rich purple shade and the feminine Empire shape, and touches of black velvet ribbon. Added to the design are pockets and buttons down the front, a collarless neckline and long, narrow sleeves to complete the long-line fitted silhouette that stops just above the knee. A coat that you will be able to wear for casual day wear, but one that will also look fantastic for evening outings. Not surprisingly the Marina coat was a fashion choice of the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore it over the coordinating high-necked Vanessa dress, also by Séraphine.
