And Rock Chick does more than rock. It comes with 11 preinstalled calming sounds - including a heartbeat that takes your baby back to the sounds of the womb, the classic “shhh”, rain, a babbling brook, crickets - plus Bluetooth, so you can stream your own lullabies from your phone. White, pink and brown noise: with very young babies try pink first, many find it more soothing.
It's designed to reassure you too. The volume is capped at 50 dB, a safe threshold even for newborns, and Rock Chick only needs a whisper to work. It switches itself off after 45 minutes - the length of a nap, not hours of rocking. Speed and volume are adjustable with a single dial, so you can find your baby's rhythm.
The universal mount attaches in seconds to most strollers, prams and carrycots, the battery lasts 3-4 hours and recharges with the included USB-C cable, even while in use.
