- Dimensions: standard size 50 x 74 cm
- Materials: polyamide 6.6. The material is untreated, undyed, and does not contain any additives. It’s pure and can even be used in a medical context.
- How to use: Fill the bag up to 2/3 (the textiles need to move inside the bag). Wash your clothes as usual. Please follow the application instructions. Take out your wet textiles after washing.
- How to clean the bag: Just take out the released microfibers on a regular basis. The bag is self-cleaning. Do not rinse the bag under running water.
- The bag was tested for a period of three years by scientific institutes, universities, retailers and representatives of the outdoor- and fashion industry. Mainly, it was with the following scientific and independent institutes: German Textile Research Institute DTNW, Fraunhofer Institut UMSICHT, University of California in Santa Barbara as part of a Patagonia research program.
- As part of a test program, the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT has confirmed that the Guppyfriend washing bag not only reliably retains the breaking microfibers, but also protects the textiles. Compared to washing without the Guppyfriend Washing Bag, on average 86% less fibers break off synthetic textiles.
- Most PFCs used to impregnate textiles are water-soluble. Thus, they can not be filtered. If possible, always buy clothes without PFCs.
