High quality KN95/FFP2 Respiratory Protection Mask. This Respiratory Mask meets CE and FDA standards and is certified to provide greater than 95% filtration performance. This exceeds the greater than 94% filtration required by FFP2 masks. It is also certfied to meet FFP2 standard.

The KN95 Respiratory Facemask provides a very close facial fit, reducing leakage around the edges of the mask when the user inhales. When properly fitted, the filtration capabilities of a N95 Respiratory mask exceed those of disposable surgical face masks.

This is an adult one-size mask: it has a particularly close fit, and tends also to fit smaller faces or younger people as well as regular faces.

This model has been carefully designed with a 3D shape to ensure a close fit and increased breathing volume of the mask - to make air flow easier and make wearing and breathing more comfortable. The mask has a sturdy metal nose piece to ensure a good fit and an elasticated loop for easy wear and removal. 

Once you have put on the mask gently press the mask with both hands, then deliberatly exhale, the air should not leak from the edge of the mask. If it does, please adjust thr position of the mask and the nose clip until there is no more leakage. When inhaling the centre of the mask should be slightly sunken.

This mask does not have a valve. Using an KN95/FFP2 mask with a valve is not recommended for protection against the spread of COVID 19 because the valve is a one way vent that will not keep the exhalation in, so that the exhalation of the weare will be spread.

These masks are made of a 4 ply ultra-fine melt-blown material and PP spun-bonded PP non woven fabric providing a very effective filtration of harmful substances and haze particles (PM2,5 level).

Wearing a face mask helps protect both the person wearing it and others. However, please note that it does not protect 100% and it does not substitute other protective measures such as washing hands, wearing gloves and social distancing.

KN95 Respirator masks are designed to work for a maximum of eight consecutive hours, while disposable surgical masks are recommended to be replaced every four hours. According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) Respirator masks “are usually discarded after use, but can also be considered limited-use devices, that is, they can be reused for a limited time, unless there is a risk for contamination through the deposition of infection particles on the surface”.

Sourcing high quality, CE certified, factory sealed medical masks at this time is very difficult because they are in such high demand. The cost to Family Nation of these masks was therefore high, but we have decided to discount them to make it more within the reach of the families that need them.

Guide to use of face masks (according to the WHO):

• Before putting on a mask, clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
• Cover mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.
• Adjust the nose clip around the bridge of your nose and press it down to fit the shape of your nose.
• Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
• Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do NOT re-use single-use masks.
• To remove the mask: remove it from behind (do not touch the front of mask); discard immediately in a closed bin; clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
