Beech Wood Architect Set - Rainbow - 28 Pieces - 12m+
Does your child love building and constructing towers and fascinating structures? Then they will adore the tickit® Rainbow Architect Set, made up of four geometric shapes (squares, rectangles, triangles, arches) nested together with the inner block in each nesting group forming a solid 3D shape. Made from beautiful smooth beech wood with a natural wood grain finish in seven different colors, these shape sets will allow your child to unleash their creativity and innovation.
Learning through play, the nesting sets can be used to design and build towers, houses, or sculptures; create homes for small worlds with people or animals, encouraging and developing logic by sorting the pieces into shapes that match by color, shape, or size; learning geometric properties of common shapes; exploring dimensions and scale; using mathematical language (larger, smaller, taller, wider) and improving language skills and descriptive vocabulary.
2019 Worldwide Preschool Awards
Described as an "exceptional" resource with "endless" learning opportunities, these sets have been used in one setting to build different objects, nest them together, and match colors, producing much "rich language, movement, manipulation, and collaborative play."
The smooth edges are safe for younger children, and a child with special educational needs in one setting adored them, saying "rainbow" for all of them because of the colors. Testers praised the product's breadth and its value in exploring a range of concepts—color, size, shapes, curves, and straight lines—as well as the way the shapes fit together.
A "very versatile and open resource" [said] one setting, where children used them to create patterns and design rooms that they filled with small world people and furniture. The shapes are also useful for helping children learn colors, shapes, and sizes, and use mathematical terms like "larger," "smaller," "taller," and "wider," great for expanding their descriptive vocabulary.
"I would definitely recommend them to other settings, and they are a timeless resource that we can't wait to use with children for many years to come!" one tester enthusiastically said.
