The animal pieces are 15 mm thick and double-sided, so they can be placed vertically in imaginative play scenes or stacked vertically to develop coordination and balance skills. The base tray features laser-engraved skeletons to match with each animal, and the removable layer has the animal shapes cut out to create an additional matching activity. The skeletons in the base tray and the features of the animals are deeply laser-engraved for a tactile experience and can be used for tracing or rubbing with crayons on paper; the animal pieces and shape tray can be used for drawing, coloring, or filling with colored rice or beads for further sensory exercise.
The puzzle is made from FSC-certified birch plywood.
Crocodile, chameleon, gorilla, elephant, and rhinoceros are painted with laser details. Leopard and meerkat are natural with laser details. Toucan, zebra, and snake are printed in color.
