All these animals are beautifully drawn on sturdy black and white cards, 13 x 18 cm, that have smooth, rounded corners, which make them nice to handle. Even a newborn baby will be able to appreciate these pictures: up to the age of 6 months, babies are able to distinguish shapes in strongly contrasting patterns, especially in black and white, whereas it takes them longer to be able to perceive colours. The inks used are derived from soya, and therefore are perfectly safe, and will not be harmful if baby decides to put a card into her mouth!
