The Montessori Pull-Out Bed and 2-in-1 Storage Drawer Evi is not just an ordinary drawer: thanks to its 2-in-1 structure, it can be used both as a spacious storage compartment, and as a comfortable pull-out bed (195x90 cm) by changing the drawer's bottom with the included slats and adding the mattress (sold separately).
As a drawer, it will be a fundamental ally in keeping the room organized: toys, blankets, books, stuffed animals, clothes, or seasonal changes... everything finds a place in a harmonious, accessible, and safe way. The bottom of the drawer is perforated to allow airflow. When a second bed is needed, the compartment easily transforms into a comfortable and stable bed; just replace the bottom with the included slats—also included! - Warning: Pediatric guidelines recommend that newborns sleep in the same room as their parents and close to them for at least the first 6 months to ensure constant supervision during sleep. If you wish to use EVI from the early months, we suggest placing it in the parents' room, close to you. If you prefer to set it up in the child's room, initially use it for play or daytime naps.
- To use the drawer as a container: Assemble the dedicated perforated panels to create a closed but ventilated space, insert the contents, and slide the drawer under the bed. Thanks to the wheels, the movement will be smooth and effortless.
- To convert it into a pull-out bed: Remove the container panels, insert the slats into the designated structure, add the Evi Aloe Vera Mattress 195 x 90 x 11 cm or any 190 x 90 cm mattress (maximum height 15 cm), and the bed is ready for use.
- Supervision: Always supervise if used by a child in bed mode. Although the floor design reduces the risk of falls, supervision is still necessary.
- Proper assembly: Ensure all parts are securely assembled according to the instructions. Periodically check that the screws are tight. We recommend an annual check of all joints.
- Proper use: Do not use as a climbing or play surface. Do not sit or jump on the drawer when it is empty or in container configuration.
- Edges and surfaces: Check for any sharp edges, splinters, or damaged parts. Do not use the bed if it is damaged.
- Use only on flat, obstacle-free surfaces
- Cleaning: Regular maintenance is very simple: just use a damp sponge, without detergents, for gentle cleaning of the surfaces. We also recommend regularly cleaning the slats and the area under the mattress.
For more thorough cleaning and maintenance, you can use fine sandpaper (grain 180 or 220) on the areas that need it. The wood of Evi is untreated with paints, so you can always renew it by sanding it. - Safety: There is no specific European regulation for Montessori-style beds, so we have applied the general safety principles valid for children's furniture. Furthermore, Evi complies with the safety, resistance, and durability requirements of the European standard UNI EN 1725.
