The Evi 4-in-1 Montessori Bed 140 x 70 cm by Family Nation has been designed by listening to the needs of dozens of parents with whom we have dealt with it, to offer a single high-quality solution, with a beautiful design and that lasts over time.
The low position of the Evi Bed, just 3 cm from the floor, makes it the ideal Montessori bed from the first months of life: it promotes children's autonomy in entering and exiting the bed in total safety, while the horizontal slats guarantee the necessary ventilation, keeping the bed and mattress dry at all times.
For the safety of children from the very first months, the Evi Bed is equipped with protective rails on all sides — headboard, footboard, side rails and fall arrest rail on the access side — with a height of 30 cm, ideal for ensuring maximum protection even for the youngest children and those who move a lot during the night.
The house-shaped roof creates a cozy and welcoming space that stimulates play, reading and independent rest. The Montessori design of the Evi Bed encourages children's independence and confidence, helping them to experience the bed as a safe place of their own, to be shared with parents, brothers or sisters.
As your child grows, the Evi Bed adapts easily. Without the need for additional pieces, you can raise the base up to 21 cm from the floor using the pre-drilled holes in the highest position: no feet to add, no legs to change. This ensures a comfortable and safe evolution without creating weaknesses in the structure, while creating a useful space under the bed for storing objects or cleaning easily.
The safety rails can be freely added or removed in different configurations, adapting to the needs of each stage of growth.
The kit includes everything you need: bed base, sides, structure with house roof and horizontal slats. Thanks to its polished finish, the bed has a satin appearance and a soft surface to the touch. Made of natural pine wood, hand-finished and packaged without plastic, the Evi Montessori Bed combines quality, design and sustainability in a single product. The sturdy structure supports a weight of up to 100 kg, certified according to the European standard BS EN 1725:2023 for the safety, strength and durability of the beds.

- Materials: The bed frame is made of pine wood, and the slats are made of birch plywood with a thickness of 15 mm. We have selected particularly sturdy bolts to ensure the Evi Bed remains solid and reliable over time.

- Kit includes: bed base, 5 rails (headboard, footboard, two-part side rail, and one safety rail on the access side), house-shaped roof frame, slats, and legs for single bed configuration.
- The bed base can be raised from the ground without adding extra feet to avoid weak points. It can be assembled at a height of 3.5 cm in Montessori configuration (to allow air circulation) and at a height of 21 cm in single bed configuration.

- Warning: pediatric guidelines recommend that infants sleep in the same room as their parents and close to them for at least the first 6 months, to ensure constant supervision during sleep. If you wish to use EVI from the first months, we suggest placing it in the parents' bedroom, near you. If you prefer to set it up in the child’s room, use it initially for playtime or daytime naps.
- Cleaning: Routine maintenance is very simple: just use a damp sponge without detergents for gentle cleaning of surfaces. We also recommend regularly cleaning the slats and the area under the mattress.
For more thorough cleaning and maintenance, you can use fine sandpaper (180 or 220 grit) on areas that need it. The Evi wood is not treated with varnishes, so it can always be refreshed by sanding. - Safety: There is no specific European regulation for Montessori-style beds, so we have applied the general safety principles for children's furniture. Additionally, the Evi Bed complies with safety, strength, and durability requirements set by the European standard UNI EN 1725.
