The Montessori Evolutive Bed Evi 4-in-1 by Family Nation is designed to grow with your child. A high-quality solution, with beautiful design and built to last over time.
In its first configuration, the Evi Bed is a floor-level Montessori bed, encouraging young children’s independence as they can get in and out on their own. A small gap between the slats and the floor ensures proper ventilation, keeping both bed and mattress dry.
For safety from the very first months, the bed includes 5 protective elements: headboard, footboard, split side rail, and anti-fall guard. The modular rails make the bed safe even for more active children.
As your child grows, the Evi Bed easily adapts: without additional parts, you can raise the base and rails up to 22 cm using the pre-drilled holes, maintaining a sturdy structure. This configuration creates useful storage space under the bed and makes cleaning easier. The rails can be added or removed according to your needs.
When children are ready for a “big kid” bed, the Evi Bed transforms into a classic single bed (140x70 cm). Simply remove the roof and barriers and assemble the 4 included legs.
The complete kit includes: bed base, 5 rails, house-shaped frame with roof, slats, and two sets of legs (for the house bed and single bed). Made from natural pine wood, hand-sanded with a satin finish and packaged plastic-free, it combines quality, sustainability, and beautiful design.
Completing the sleep system is the Evi Removable Cover Mattress 140x70x11 cm with Aloe Vera treatment, designed to ensure comfort, hygiene, and natural well-being.
The cover in 100% polyester stretch fabric treated with Aloe Vera provides freshness and softness, gradually releasing soothing and regenerating substances thanks to microcapsules.
The internal structure in thermally bonded polyester fiber ensures balanced support, breathability, and long-lasting durability, adapting anatomically to the body and reducing pressure points.
The cover is removable and washable with a 3-sided zipper, making maintenance easy and ensuring a hygienic and safe environment. The mattress is also hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and breathable, ideal even for sensitive skin.
Certified OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, it guarantees the absence of harmful substances. Its Made in Italy production is synonymous with quality, attention to detail, and the perfect blend of craftsmanship and innovation.

Montessori Evolutive Bed Evi 4-in-1
- Color: Natural wood (not treated with paints or varnishes)
- Materials: The bed frame is made of pine wood, and the slats are made of birch plywood with a thickness of 15 mm. We selected particularly strong bolts to ensure the Evi Bed remains sturdy and reliable over time.

- The Kit Includes: bed base, 5 rails (headboard, footboard, split side rail, and one anti-fall rail on the access side), house-shaped frame with roof, slats, and legs for single bed configuration.
- The bed base can be raised from the ground without adding extra feet to avoid weak points. It can be assembled at a height of 3.5 cm in Montessori mode (to allow air circulation) and at 21 cm in single bed mode.

- Warning: pediatric guidelines recommend that, at least until 6 months, newborns sleep in the same room as their parents and close to them to ensure constant supervision during sleep. If you wish to use EVI from the first months, we suggest setting it up in the parents’ bedroom, placing it near you. If instead you prefer to place it in the child’s bedroom, initially use it for playtime or daytime naps.
- Cleaning: Routine maintenance is very simple: just use a damp sponge without detergents for gentle surface cleaning. We recommend regularly cleaning the slats and the area under the mattress.
For deeper cleaning and maintenance, you can use fine sandpaper (grit 180 or 220) on areas that require it. The Evi wood is not treated with varnish, so it can always be refreshed by sanding. - Safety: There is no specific European regulation for Montessori-style beds, so we have applied general safety principles valid for children’s furniture. Additionally, the Evi Bed complies with safety requirements, strength, and durability standards defined by the European regulation UNI EN 1725.
